Superblock Project Held Up....Again

Unhappy with the buildings that will not be saved as apart of Lexington Square's proposed development of the Superblock, the project looks like it's going to be held up once again. The go ahead was given in 2004 for the redevelopment of the superblock, but now, 7 years later, not a single shovel of dirt has been moved.

I'd like to see it saved, but everybody needs to get real, too. It's not going to be a drugstore, and it's not going to be a museum.
ReplyDeleteWhat helps black folks more? Some moldy, structurally unsound vacant building on a blighted block, or jobs and retail to serve the community?
